Job Description

Remote Commercial Lines Account Manager supporting clients and managing insurance accounts with the Leavitt Group. Responsible for client interactions and service improvement in Cedar City, UT.

Responsibilities:

  • Position supports specified accounts and may provide relevant insurance advice to new and existing clients.
  • Explains coverage and suggests additions or changes in an insurance program to clients. Responds to customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Renew and Invoice all Agency Bill Accounts
  • Coordinates marketing and quotation process, along with identifying and targeting new business lines for existing clients
  • Completes applications and forwards them to insurance carriers for quotes or with binding instructions
  • Orders and issues binders and policies by verifying their accuracy; forwards them to the “policies to be processed” folder for processing with appropriate correspondence
  • Updates renewal list accordingly
  • Make recommendations to existing clients on account rounding when appropriate
  • Reviews and adheres to processing procedures in order to incorporate the capabilities of the system into the daily workflow along with streamlining the workflow
  • Ensures the activities and follow-ups are set and the client file in the agency management systems is updated and consistent
  • Daily phone coverage except for breaks and lunch with all conversations documented with clients and details in AMS.
  • Achieves cross sell and up sell goals
  • Attends Team meetings and takes CE Courses
  • Fulfills other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Possesses Property, Casualty Agents License
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be able to communicate information and respond to questions (both verbally and in written form) effectively with clients, company personnel, and others
  • Possesses the ability to perform work in a dependable, consistent, and timely manner
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance
  • Sets priorities and organizes and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities
  • Maintains a professional and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts
  • Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information and continuously improves knowledge and performance
  • Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals
  • Knowledgeable of insurance products
  • Knowledgeable of insurance rating and underwriting procedures
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Possesses the ability to anticipate, meet and/or exceed customer needs, wants and expectations
  • Takes initiative in learning and implementing new concepts, and technologies
  • Demonstrates the ability to read and learn to interpret documents such as policy forms, customer contracts, lease agreements etc.
  • Ability to learn how to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and commissions and percentages
