Job Description
Compliance Analyst auditing auto-finance processes for Auto Approve, a fintech company helping customers save on vehicle loans. Documenting controls, testing compliance, and recommending improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Document key processes and internal control points and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement
- Create and amend policies and procedure documents to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Perform audits of internal and external processes, including consumer telephone communications, loan document preparation and execution, and vendor performance
- Analyze data and perform testing
- Document and communicate audit results accurately and effectively
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations and alternatives to Management and the Director of Compliance
- Maintain collaborative relationships with lending partners and vendors
- Perform possible off-site vendor audits involving travel
- Complete special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in an applicable risk management, quality assurance, or compliance environment
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Expert-level understanding of the auto finance industry
- Critical thinking, problem analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, or other database applications
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel for limited off-site vendor audits
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period
- May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs
