Job Description

Compliance & QC Specialist working with a focused compliance team in a residential mortgage banker. Handling QC, licensing operations, and advertising compliance reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Pre-Fund QC: Selecting daily pre-fund files for QC review based on risk factors and targets, sending them to the QC vendor, and chasing deficiencies.
  • NMLS & State Licensing: Handling monthly state reporting, running individual originator and branch license applications, and resolving deficiencies.
  • Advertising Compliance: Reviewing marketing material against advertising rules, auditing Loan Officers' online presence for compliance issues, and maintaining an in-house resource for advertising requirements.
  • Audit Readiness: Pulling marketing archives and assembling files for auditors and examiners.
  • Coverage & Collaboration: Cross-training with a peer for full year-round coverage.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in an office environment, preferably banking, mortgage, regulation, or marketing (Required)
  • Working knowledge of RESPA, TILA, ECOA, SAFE Act, and UDAAP (Required)
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills (Required)
  • Strong attention to detail and independent problem-solving (Required)
  • Proficient with computers and familiar with social media and advertising channels (Required)
  • Hands-on mortgage QC platform experience (Preferred)
  • NMLS individual and branch licensing administration experience (Preferred)
