Job Description

Configuration and data manager supporting SPA’s DoD cloud-native Platform as a Service capability. Governing system baselines, data artifacts, change control, and compliance across technical teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to configuration and data management activities supporting a Department of Defense Platform as a Service capability
  • Track, document, and control system baselines, data artifacts, and change processes
  • Maintain and execute the Configuration and Data Management Plan aligned with DoD standards including EIA-649, MIL-STD-973, and NIST SP 800-53
  • Oversee configuration control processes, including facilitating Configuration Control Boards, Configuration Management Boards, Risk Management Boards, change request workflows, and audit readiness
  • Track configuration items and data artifacts across systems to ensure lifecycle traceability and accuracy
  • Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, developers, sustainment, information technology, and operations teams
  • Support integration and synchronization of configuration and data activities across cloud infrastructure, applications, external systems, and data lakes
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Review and improve workflows to enhance effectiveness, reduce errors, and maintain compliance
  • Support hardware and software tracking, lifecycle tracking, and system readiness reporting
  • Support configuration control policies, procedures, guidance, and data management hierarchy frameworks

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship at time of application
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in configuration / data management role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Information Systems, Business, Leadership, or a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of configuration management principles as applied in DoD or federally regulated environments
  • Familiarity with foundational cloud and DevSecOps concepts, including GitOps and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition or sustainment programs involving software-intensive systems
  • Experience supporting engineering, logistics, or systems lifecycle management processes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a proven ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and Mattermost
  • Ability to work a full-time remote position
