Job Description
Security Analyst monitoring and investigating Microsoft-centric security incidents for Austrian and international clients. Developing detections, playbooks and automations across SIEM, XDR, EDR and cloud security.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse, assess and prioritise security events, alerts and incidents
- Conduct initial assessments and in-depth technical analyses as part of incident response
- Monitor and process alerts from SIEM, XDR, EDR and cloud security solutions
- Identify attack patterns, vulnerabilities and security-related anomalies
- Document incidents, measures taken and lessons learned
- Support the further development of detection use cases, playbooks and automations
- Contribute to security assessments, customer workshops and technical analyses
- Work closely with Security Architects, Consultants, the SOC team and customer stakeholders
- Support the continuous improvement of security services and operational processes
Requirements:
- Completed technical training or education in computer science, IT security, network engineering or a comparable qualification
- Alternatively, relevant professional experience in security, infrastructure, cloud or modern workplace environments
- Initial to several years of experience in security operations, incident response, SOC, SIEM or endpoint security
- Good understanding of Microsoft security technologies, as well as fundamental cloud and network architectures
- Analytical mindset and enthusiasm for investigating technical interrelationships in a structured manner
- Sense of responsibility, precision and an independent working style
- Strong communication skills, with a high level of customer and solution orientation
- Willingness to learn, ability to work in a team and interest in continuous professional development in the cybersecurity field
- Certifications such as SC-200, AZ-500, MS-500, Security+, CySA+ or comparable qualifications are an advantage
- Willingness to travel throughout Austria
