Job Description

Web Developer responsible for designing and developing custom Block CMS templates for campgrounds. Collaborating to create engaging user interfaces and improve online experiences for outdoor enthusiasts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a fully custom Block CMS theme and template tailored specifically for campground businesses.
  • Ensure the designs align with branding and industry best practices.
  • Ensure that all templates are mobile-friendly and responsive, providing an optimal viewing experience on all devices.
  • Design and improve the user interface and user experience, focusing on features to enhance online booking through Campspot.
  • Implement SEO-friendly code and structure to ensure campground websites are optimized for search engines and easy to find by potential customers.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and updates to templates as needed, including bug fixes, security patches, and updates to ensure compatibility with the latest version.
  • Work closely with Campspot’s supply team to translate the client’s vision into a functioning website.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience developing custom themes and templates
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with a deep understanding of Block CMS architecture.
  • Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.) is a plus but not required.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of SEO and how to integrate it into website development.
  • Experience working with version control systems (Git).
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams.
  • A portfolio showcasing your WordPress web development work, particularly custom-built themes or templates.
  • Experience working with APIs to improve integrations preferred.
