Job Description
German-qualified corporate and M&A lawyer evaluating AI-generated legal answers for 24-MAG’s legal benchmarking projects. Comparing platforms, scoring reasoning, and providing precise expert feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Review AI-generated responses to questions involving German corporate and commercial law
- Evaluate legal reasoning across M&A, transactional, governance, and related corporate matters
- Identify substantive legal errors, omissions, unsupported conclusions, and misleading reasoning
- Compare identical legal prompts across two AI platforms
- Assess responses for accuracy, completeness, reasoning quality, and practical usefulness
- Score responses against a standardised evaluation rubric
- Provide concise written rationale and expert feedback for each evaluation
- Identify missing issues or analytical steps that materially affect answers
- Apply professional experience in corporate, M&A, and transactional legal practice
- Evaluate transaction structures, corporate governance, commercial agreements, and deal execution
- Assess legal analysis from the perspective of practising counsel
- Maintain professional standards consistent with established German law-firm practice
Requirements:
- Qualified to practise law in Germany
- At least 2 years of law-firm experience; 3+ years preferred
- Substantive professional experience in corporate law, M&A, or transactional practice
- Primary professional background within an established law firm
- Candidates currently working in-house may be considered where they moved from law-firm practice within approximately the last two years
- Strong command of German corporate and commercial law
- Native or fluent proficiency in German
- Excellent written communication and ability to explain legal reasoning precisely
- Strong attention to legal accuracy, analytical consistency, and detail
- Ability to work independently against structured rubrics and deadlines
- Experience reviewing sophisticated legal research or written legal analysis is highly valued
- Availability for an initial commitment of approximately 10 hours
- Ability to comply with confidentiality and NDA requirements
- Must complete work without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party
