Job Description
UK-qualified Corporate & M&A Lawyer evaluating AI-generated legal responses for 24-MAG’s remote consulting platform. Comparing analyses, scoring legal reasoning, and delivering precise feedback on UK law.
Responsibilities:
- Review AI-generated responses to questions involving UK corporate and commercial law
- Evaluate legal reasoning across M&A, transactional, governance, and related corporate matters
- Identify substantive legal errors, omissions, unsupported conclusions, and misleading reasoning
- Assess whether responses reflect the standard expected in professional UK legal practice
- Compare responses from two AI platforms side by side for accuracy, completeness, reasoning quality, and practical usefulness
- Determine which response better addresses the legal question and flag significant deficiencies
- Score AI-generated responses against a standardised evaluation rubric
- Distinguish minor drafting weaknesses from substantive legal errors
- Provide concise written rationale for each evaluation
- Explain specific legal strengths, weaknesses, and inaccuracies
- Identify missing issues or analytical steps that materially affect answers
- Evaluate transaction structures, corporate governance, commercial agreements, and deal execution
- Apply practical considerations from corporate, M&A, and transactional legal practice
- Maintain professional standards consistent with established UK law-firm practice
Requirements:
- Qualified to practise law in the United Kingdom
- At least 2 years of law-firm experience; 3+ years preferred
- Substantive professional experience in corporate law, M&A, or transactional practice
- Primary professional background within an established law firm
- In-house candidates may be considered if they moved from law-firm practice within approximately the last two years
- Strong command of UK corporate and commercial law
- Native or fluent proficiency in English
- Excellent written communication and ability to explain legal reasoning precisely
- Strong attention to legal accuracy, analytical consistency, and detail
- Ability to work independently against structured rubrics and deadlines
- Experience reviewing sophisticated legal research or written legal analysis is highly valued
- Must work without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party
