Job Description
D365 Data Migration Lead owning Dynamics 365 data migrations for HSO, a global Microsoft business transformation partner. Leading governance, ETL, cutovers, and data quality across international client projects.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full data migration lifecycle for Dynamics 365 F&O and CE where relevant, including planning, execution, cutover, post-migration verification, and hypercare
- Lead data discovery, profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, and validation with functional and technical teams
- Coordinate client teams, HSO delivery teams, and ISVs, communicating progress, risks, and decisions
- Define migration scope, approach, timelines, resourcing, and risk controls in alignment with project governance and commercial sensitivities
- Establish and enforce data governance standards covering lineage, controls, security, and retention
- Guide Master Data Management setup and data quality initiatives
- Lead data engineering teams designing and implementing ETL processes and quality checks
- Manage cutovers and reconciliation
- Author migration scripts and queries in T-SQL
- Use Python to automate repeatable tasks and validations where appropriate
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms
- Enable legacy data migration for analytical purposes such as AI and BI
- Participate in pre-sales and envisioning activities
Requirements:
- Legal working rights in the country of residence within the European region
- Sponsorship only available within the Netherlands
- Deep hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) data migration
- Expertise in T-SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and reconciliation
- Proven understanding of data migration principles: profiling, mapping, cleansing, validation, and cutover
- Experience managing data teams across multiple streams: Migration, Analytics, Integration
- Ability to handle commercially sensitive information and decisions
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
- Strong communication and stakeholder management across technical and business audiences
- Senior consulting presence with ability to coach, challenge, and align cross-functional teams
- Analytical and detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills and focus on quality
- Structured delivery approach with ability to plan, execute, and govern using clear milestones and acceptance criteria
- Customer-centric focus on value creation, risk reduction, and business continuity
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
