Job Description
Data Analyst I troubleshooting student-information-system integrations for Renaissance’s K-12 education technology products. Validating data, resolving errors, and supporting education customers.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain, adjust, and validate data imported from other systems into Renaissance products
- Work directly with customers to obtain required data
- Manage and troubleshoot SIS-to-product data integration issues
- Write and update extract scripts and configure import processes
- Execute database updates, merges, deletions, and imports while maintaining data integrity
- Conduct quality control checks, investigate discrepancies, and resolve integration-related data errors
- Respond to escalated data support cases
- Provide guidance on ETL processes and data specifications
- Deliver clear status updates on issue resolution
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams on complex data integration challenges and business rules
Requirements:
- Associate degree, preferably in Computer/Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or similar field; or equivalent combination of skills and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and manipulation
- Foundational technical knowledge including basic ETL processes, SQL querying, sFTP servers, and file path navigation (Linux/Mac OS and Windows)
- Strong analytic mindset with exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex data issues
- Collaborative approach with willingness to actively engage across cross-functional teams
- Excellent customer support skills with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
- Growth mindset with curiosity and eagerness to learn new technology and continuously develop technical skills
- Experience writing scripts using SQL
- Familiarity with Postman, SFTP clients, and API testing tools
- Previous experience in data analysis, integration, or technical support roles
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
