Job Description
Data Engineer Intern working on data pipelines and ETL processes at AdaptHealth. Joining data team for hands-on experience with real-world projects and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Work with APIs to integrate data from external systems and third-party services.
- Support data modeling and schema design in Snowflake and/or relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Write SQL queries to transform and validate data for analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to understand data requirements.
- Help monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.
- Document data processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for data engineering.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Exposure to cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, SQL Server, Big Query) (preferred)
- Experience working with APIs and data integration (preferred)
- Knowledge of ETL tools or frameworks (preferred)
- Understanding data modeling concepts (star schema, normalization) (preferred)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) (preferred)
