Job Description
SAS/Data Engineer modernising SAS processes and migrating them to Databricks/Fabric. Bridge351 delivers cloud, cybersecurity, data, and advanced development solutions across Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with business teams to understand their needs, processes and business rules
- Analyse and interpret existing SAS code and processes, identifying data sources, transformations, dependencies and outputs
- Document processes and business rules relevant to future migration
- Help define the approach for migrating SAS processes to Databricks/Fabric
- Support development, testing and validation of migrated processes
- Compare results between SAS and Databricks/Fabric platforms
- Liaise with technical and business teams to clarify questions and ensure solutions meet requirements
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience maintaining SAS processes
- Ability to analyse and interpret SAS code written by others
- Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business teams
- Solid knowledge of SQL and data processing and transformation
- Experience documenting processes, business rules and data flows
- Basic knowledge of Databricks, particularly for data processing and transformation
- Strong communication skills, autonomy and a collaborative mindset
- Experience with Python and/or PySpark (nice to have)
- Experience in data platform migration or modernisation projects (nice to have)
- Experience validating and reconciling data across systems (nice to have)
- Knowledge of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes (nice to have)
- Experience with Databricks (nice to have)
