Job Description
Database Administrator managing Oracle databases, GoldenGate, RAC, backups, and performance. Supporting European Dynamics’ enterprise software and government IT projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and operate an Oracle DBMS in the Contractor’s development environment
- Install, configure, and operate an Oracle Client
- Install, configure, and operate Oracle GoldenGate
- Monitor Oracle components
- Create replication groups
- Diagnose cluster and interconnect errors
- Perform Oracle RMAN backup and restore
- Optimise SQL, troubleshoot issues, and manage resources
- Ensure data integrity, security, and performance
- Plan and perform release changes for continuous database optimisation
- Advise and support the development team on database-related questions
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of database structure and theory
- Expert knowledge of database optimisation and performance tuning
- Expert knowledge of database management systems (e.g. Oracle, MySQL)
- Expert knowledge of Oracle cluster technology (RAC)
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate
- Expert knowledge of disaster recovery and database backup procedures
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- At least 5 years of demonstrable practical experience
- Based in Germany
- Fluent command of oral and written German (level C2 required)
- English at a sufficient level
