Job Description

Director of FP&A guiding financial planning, reporting, and unit economics for Ottimate’s AI-powered accounts-payable automation platform. Partnering with executives to optimize SaaS and payments growth, margins, and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning
  • Develop financial models integrating SaaS and payments revenue streams, cash flow forecasts, and scenario analyses
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the C-suite and functional leaders
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations on initiatives, pricing, customer acquisition, and SaaS/payments metrics
  • Collaborate on commission plans, quota setting, and sales efficiency analysis
  • Model the financial impact of new features, pricing changes, and payment partner agreements
  • Analyze SaaS and payments KPIs, including ARR/MRR, gross margin, retention/churn, interchange revenue, and take rate
  • Support product monetization strategies and payments/fintech compliance initiatives
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and KPI visibility across SaaS and payments businesses
  • Analyze ARR, NDR, CAC, Magic Number, GPV, take rate, transaction margin, and processing costs
  • Conduct cohort, pricing and packaging, and ROI analyses
  • Own monthly and quarterly management reporting, variance analysis, and board decks
  • Deliver insights on operational efficiency, revenue growth, and margin improvement
  • Build and optimize FP&A tools and automate reporting and planning processes
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Collaborate with accounting on close processes and GAAP-to-operating-metrics reconciliation
  • Manage, mentor, and grow the FP&A team
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 8–12 years of progressive FP&A experience, including 3+ years in SaaS and/or Fintech environments
  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, including ARR, NDR, CAC, LTV, and churn
  • Understanding of Fintech/payments dynamics, including interchange, processing costs, and revenue share
  • Strong financial modeling skills and fluency in Excel
  • Experience with FP&A tools such as Cube, Mosaic, or Anaplan
  • Experience with data platforms such as Looker, PowerBI, or Tableau
  • Fluency with AI tools such as Claude for data pulls, model builds, data structure and accuracy analysis, SQL query drafting, and analytical workflows
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Comfort working with C-level executives
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and influence without authority
  • Preferred experience with B2B SaaS models using tiered or usage-based pricing
  • Preferred experience with payments or embedded finance
  • Preferred experience supporting venture capital- or PE-backed companies through scaling, fundraising cycles, and M&A
