Job Description
Distributed Systems Engineer building high-performance bidding infrastructure for RTB House’s Deep Learning AdTech platform. Optimizing scalable, low-latency systems processing over 24M requests per second.
Responsibilities:
- Design and program a wide range of modules and components for a system supporting over 24M queries per second and low latency
- Optimize software for response time and resource consumption
- Ensure the reliability and scalability of built solutions
- Create performance and correctness tests for new system components
- Analyze new technologies for applicability in production conditions
- Develop tools for monitoring and analyzing production system operation
- Continuously optimize existing tools and processes
Requirements:
- Excellent understanding of complex IT systems, from hardware through software to algorithmics
- Proficiency in programming
- Very good knowledge of Internet protocols and technologies, including DNS, HTTP, and cookies
- Good knowledge of methods for creating concurrent programs and distributed systems
- Practical ability to observe, monitor, and analyze production systems
- Ability to critically analyze solutions for performance, from theoretical estimation to resolving production performance problems
- General knowledge of high scalability and high availability issues
- C1 level in English and Polish
- Background in Computer Science, algorithmic complexity, and system architecture through a formal CS degree, competitive programming experience such as OI/ICPC, or an equivalent track record
- Experience with Java, Python, Aerospike, Memcached, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, MinIO, Kafka, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Jenkins, and Graphite
