Job Description

Smart-grid software project lead coordinating Venios.NET implementations. Digitizing, monitoring, and controlling energy distribution networks for utility customers in Germany and Austria.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, plan, and execute strategic technical projects in the smart-grid sector, from commissioning through successful go-live
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders and coordinate all project phases
  • Monitor schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Ensure the integration of Venios.NET into existing IT landscapes
  • Collaborate with development teams, customer specialist departments, and external service providers
  • Support testing and the rollout of new features
  • Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation measures
  • Identify customer needs and contribute ideas for the further development of Venios.NET

Requirements:

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable qualification with demonstrable electrical-engineering expertise
  • Several years of project-management experience in software implementation projects, ideally in the energy sector
  • IPMA or comparable project-management certification is desirable, or willingness to obtain it
  • Several years of experience in building and operating electrical distribution networks is desirable
  • Very strong IT skills and an affinity for software development
  • Knowledge of technical guidelines, legislation, and contracts
  • Empathetic, audience-appropriate communication and conflict-management skills
  • Structured, analytical, and goal-oriented approach to work, with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Action-oriented, persistent, solution-focused, and resilient
  • Strong team-player mindset
  • Good English and very good German skills
  • Residence in, or authorization to work in, Germany or Austria
