Job Description

Hardship Case Advisor reviewing employee hardship cases for Aston Carter, a corporate talent solutions provider. Assessing risks, coordinating resources, and resolving sensitive employee support needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage employee hardship cases from intake through resolution
  • Evaluate complex situations involving housing instability, family emergencies, bereavement, safety concerns, financial hardship, and other life challenges
  • Assess risk factors and apply established guidelines to determine appropriate outcomes and support options
  • Connect employees with relevant resources and services
  • Maintain accurate case documentation while ensuring confidentiality and data privacy
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve complex cases and remove barriers to support
  • Exercise independent judgment and make informed decisions in sensitive situations
  • Manage a high volume of cases in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Navigate multiple systems and tools to research, document, and process case activity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Case Management, Employee Support Services, Leave Administration, Social Services, Crisis Support, or a related field
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable navigating multiple systems and tools simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
  • Empathy balanced with objectivity
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally sensitive situations
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Preferred experience in Employee Relations, Leave of Absence Administration, Employee Advocacy Programs, Crisis Intervention or Support Services, Case Management, or Workplace Safety/Escalations Support
