Job Description
Estate planning legal drafter supporting attorneys with documents, client communication, case management, and signings. RecruitGo connects emerging-market talent with global business clients through EOR services.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, and deeds
- Customize documents using firm templates and client information under attorney direction
- Collaborate with attorneys to draft and revise documents
- Communicate with clients regarding case status, document drafts, and next steps
- Respond to client calls, emails, and portal messages
- Schedule and confirm signing appointments and follow-up meetings
- Prepare and attend client signing meetings when requested
- Open, organize, and maintain physical and digital case files
- Upload client documents into case management software
- Track case timelines and deadlines and alert attorneys to required actions
- Manage estate planning matters through consultation, drafting, review, signing, and finalization
- Maintain contact details, notes, tasks, and document uploads in the case management system
- Perform limited legal research under attorney guidance
- Assist with assembling complex trust packages
- Collaborate with intake, administrative, and legal assistant teams
- Report progress or obstacles to team leaders or attorneys
- Scan and organize signed documents
- Assemble post-signing estate planning binders
- Record deeds with county offices and track recording confirmations
- Work with the internal team to ensure timely service delivery and meet client expectations
Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Professional, empathetic, and client-service focused demeanor
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Legal knowledge listed as nice-to-have
- College education listed as nice-to-have
- Estate planning knowledge listed as nice-to-have
- Ability to work a maximum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm Eastern time, with a one-hour lunch break
