Job Description

Executive Director leading MDVIP’s national physician practice openings and concierge healthcare expansion. Managing Practice Opening Managers, vendors, physician launches, budgets, and operational handoffs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the national practice opening team reporting to the VP, Member Enrollment
  • Lead and develop 7 Practice Opening Managers responsible for a national portfolio of 200+ launches per year
  • Build independent physician practices for physicians transitioning from hospital systems, insurance companies, or multi-specialty groups
  • Support independent physician practice openings and operations for physicians selling their practices
  • Assist with site selection and physical site buildout
  • Support business entity creation, provider enrollment, and credentialing
  • Set up offices, IT, EMR, and revenue cycle management
  • Assist with staffing, hiring, and onboarding
  • Share best practices around practice operations
  • Open hundreds of new physician offices and practices annually on time and within budget
  • Prepare and manage practice opening checklists, documentation, and reporting tools
  • Manage external vendors and partners, including real estate brokers, general contractors, and suppliers
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and drive business initiatives
  • Deliver physician satisfaction while meeting opening timelines and budget constraints
  • Coach and hold Practice Opening Managers accountable to performance targets
  • Escalate at-risk openings and remove roadblocks with senior stakeholders across marketing, IT, legal, and operations
  • Standardize and refine national playbooks, Smartsheet, Jira, Salesforce, Confluence, and reporting cadences
  • Partner with Member Enrollment leadership to ensure high-quality handoffs to Success Management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 7 years of professional experience
  • 4 years in Executive Director-level roles, managing teams, projects, or client accounts
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and grow teams effectively
  • Ability to create and enhance standardized processes across a national geography
  • Excellent communication and customer service orientation
  • Strong project management and operational knowledge
  • Results-driven and execution-oriented track record of exceeding goals/targets
  • Ability to build trust, influence, and advise doctors on business optimization
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Proven ability to hire, coach, and performance-manage client-facing project or implementation managers
  • MBA or other leadership/business education preferred
  • Knowledge of business formation processes, licensing, and regulatory environments preferred
  • Prior experience managing Practice Opening Managers, implementation managers, or similar client-facing project management staff in healthcare or service delivery preferred
  • Healthcare experience, including new physician practice/office formation and/or clinical operations
  • Experience working with physicians, ideally in an outpatient setting, while ensuring regulatory compliance
