Job Description

Field Service Engineer providing on-site support for atomic spectroscopy solutions. Responsible for installations, maintenance, and customer training in laboratories across France.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and optimize products and hardware configurations on customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance issues.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by informing them about preventive maintenance activities and configurations that may affect product performance.
  • Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unexpected interruptions to the customer's operations.
  • Implement customer analytical methods.
  • Train other field engineers and customers/users on solutions (classroom or on-site).

Requirements:

  • University degree in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Measurements, etc.) or a related field
  • Significant experience with analytical techniques/methods in atomic spectroscopy (ICP-MS, ICP-OES, etc.)
  • Experience or knowledge of gas chromatography (GC, GC-MS, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience in a similar role in technical support OR as a user/operator of these products
  • Good spoken and written English
