Job Description

Remote financial analyst reviewing financial submissions for UK/Australian entities undergoing viability assessments. Reconciling statements, mapping data, requesting clarifications, and supporting analyst teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Review submissions from entities undergoing financial viability assessments
  • Verify entity details against customer-provided information
  • Ensure questions are fully and correctly answered and supporting documentation is accurate and correctly formatted
  • Check that information is current and provided within acceptable timeframes
  • Review and reconcile financial information, including entity names, reporting periods, completeness of financial statements, and supporting notes and reports
  • Read financial statement notes, accountant statements, and auditor reports to understand the financial statements
  • Check Balance Sheet reconciliation, figures, income, expenses, and accounts across periods
  • Highlight concerns and key assessment points clearly and concisely
  • Maintain high accuracy and quality control
  • Extract relevant financial-statement pages and upload and map financial information to the digital platform
  • Verify digitisation and capture of numbers and line items
  • Map income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity accounts to relevant assessment fields
  • Complete a Google Sheet for platform upload
  • Apply knowledge of Australian Financial Statements, Corporate Structures, and the assessment process
  • Request clarifications and additional information from assessed entities and customers
  • Communicate with external accountants, internal accounts teams, financial managers, CFOs, company directors, and administrators via email
  • Communicate relevant information, concerns, and issues to the Analyst Team

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to analyse and interpret Financial Statements
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple submissions simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Experience reviewing UK Financial Statements or documentation preferred
  • Experience in Quality Assurance Processes preferred
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Collaborative team member who supports others when required
