Job Description
Frontend Engineer developing responsive UI components using React.js and React Native for OleOle’s football super app. Collaborating on real-time features and seamless cross-platform user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize responsive UI components using React.js (Web) and React Native (iOS & Android)
- Integrate real-time features such as live messaging, match scores, typing indicators, read receipts, etc.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build a seamless, consistent cross-platform user experience
- Optimize application for performance, memory usage, and low-latency rendering, especially in media-heavy modules like reels, feeds, and video calls
- Implement and manage state management using tools like Redux, Zustand, or Recoil
- Work with WebSockets, Push Notifications, and Streaming APIs
- Ensure consistent design with Pixel-perfect UIs using tools like Tailwind, Styled Components, or NativeBase
- Maintain code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and using TypeScript for type safety
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and participate in code reviews and agile sprint planning
Requirements:
- 7–8 years professional experience in frontend engineering
- Strong experience with: React (web) and React Native (mobile)
- Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind or similar
- Mobile app deployment (App Store + Play Store)
- Webpack, Vite, or similar build tools
- Demonstrated startup experience: you’ve worked in lean teams and shipped MVPs
- Strong understanding of mobile UX/UI principles
- Bonus if you’ve worked on video editing/streaming, real-time messaging, or multilingual apps
- Comfortable working in an agile environment with limited resources
- Excited by a mission-driven product that brings people together through football
