Job Description
Part-time Virtual Assistant supporting web development and marketing efforts for a growing business. Collaborate closely with the business owner on client communications and technical support.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Client Communication
- Rapidly communicate with clients when website issues arise, keeping them informed every step of the way
- Send regular project updates and timeline check-ins so clients always know where things stand
- Review requests to determine if they fall within scope — and when they don't, prepare and send updated scopes for client approval
- Streamline and manage the ticket support system and internal processes
- Service Delivery
- Write SEO-compliant content and compelling sales copy
- Manage website hosting and provide technical support for clients (PHP, JavaScript, WordPress)
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues as they come up
- Manage WordPress updates and ensure sites remain current
- Ensure websites meet SEO and ADA compliance standards
- Use, strategize, and leverage AI tools to build plugins and continuously improve product quality
- Support project management by building out systems, coordinating with team members, and keeping deliverables and timelines on track
- Marketing Support marketing efforts from strategy and benchmarking through to execution
- Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns
- Admin Manage email and respond to clients in a timely, professional manner
- Handle bookkeeping using QuickBooks
- Support tax preparation and ensure ongoing tax compliance
- Write Scopes of Work and client contracts
Requirements:
- You are genuinely self-sufficient — you troubleshoot, problem-solve, and figure things out without needing to be walked through every step
- You have a portfolio that demonstrates your skills in action — claims without proof won't cut it here
- You are comfortable with a "show and tell" interview where you'll walk through your work and demonstrate practical ability before any hire decision is made
- You have hands-on experience with WordPress, SEO, Google Ads, and client-facing communication
- You write clearly and professionally — whether it's a client email, a scope of work, or a sales page
- You are organized, proactive, and take ownership of your responsibilities without being chased
- You bring the skills, the drive, and the portfolio to back it up — we'd love to see what you've got.
