Job Description

Global Account Manager driving institutional account growth for Ecolab’s cleaning, safety, and sustainability solutions. Leading sales cycles, negotiations, renewals, and global customer strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth across key institutional accounts by delivering innovative cleaning, safety, and sustainability solutions
  • Own the full sales cycle, build customer relationships, and lead complex negotiations
  • Identify new business opportunities and promote Ecolab’s value proposition, technology, information, customer service, and innovation programs
  • Meet or exceed annualized net new business sales objectives and support the Retain, Grow, Gain portfolio strategy
  • Lead customer negotiations and reviews covering contractual terms, KPIs, pricing, product mix, and renewals
  • Coordinate product applications and on-site trials to penetrate new and existing accounts
  • Develop customer-specific strategies and relationships with international and global customers
  • Build peer networks across field sales, distribution, finance, marketing, and business support teams
  • Maintain sales pipelines, sales plans, activity recaps, account penetration progress, new business reporting, and monthly progress reports
  • Monitor industry changes and trends and communicate market information and marketing opportunities to management
  • Share sales best practices with corporate accounts, field sales, and distribution teams
  • Manage travel expenses against budget
  • Act as an Ecolab brand ambassador focused on cleaning and safety, water, sustainability, efficiency, and innovation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a business-to-business sales environment in a similar direct sales and service management role
  • Facility management, hospitality, or restaurant industry knowledge is a plus
  • University degree in a business-related subject
  • Superior end-to-end sales skills with a proven track record of success in sales management
  • Experience retaining and developing corporate accounts across multiple channels
  • Strong customer service skills and integrity
  • Ability to develop relationships with senior customer decision makers within chain accounts
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills and ability to work independently and set own schedule
  • Ability to work and partner with diverse and multi-cultural associates
  • Proven initiative to improve, innovate, and create value
  • Sound commercial business understanding, including financial acumen and analytical ability
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand customer needs
  • Good organization and planning skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to use customer relationship management software, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking work environment
  • Willingness to travel extensively nationally and internationally
  • Fluency in English
