Job Description
Backend Software Engineer developing with GO for Percona's open-source monitoring and management platform. Contributing to product enhancement and backend development in a remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable, high-volume, performant applications focused on simplicity and user delight
- Produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration
- Brainstorm with designers, architects and product managers to build and tweak functionalities
- Participate in code and design reviews, teaching and learning from other engineers
- Identify and uphold engineering best practices
- Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity
Requirements:
- 3+ years backend development (GO, Python/Java/C#/C++/C and etc) with strong programming fundamentals
- Test-driven and test automation first advocate
- Experience with MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL or Redis/Valkey
- Comfortable with Linux (basic usage as a programmer)
- Fluent English written and verbal language skills
- Ability to work as a team player as we sell as independently in a fully remote environment
- Development experience on cloud computing platform (AWS, Azure or OpenShift)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Experience designing, building, and documenting APIs
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
