Job Description
Head of Data responsible for managing data lifecycle and ensuring data quality for luxury IQ platform. Leading a 6-person team to build AI data products with external customers in mind.
Responsibilities:
- Own the data lifecycle from ingestion to delivery
- Build and maintain crawlers, API integrations, and vendor data feeds
- Monitor collection reliability and onboard new data sources
- Manage the full data pipeline from raw to production
- Implement automated QA at every stage
- Maintain schema integrity in BigQuery and PostgreSQL
- Ensure downstream consumers receive consistent, documented datasets
- Document every transformation rule and edge case
- Contribute to building a data product that external customers pay for
Requirements:
- Technical SQL fluency (BigQuery preferred)
- Python for pipeline orchestration, transformation, and validation
- Data modelling and schema design for multi-source, multi-market datasets
- Web scraping, crawler development, and API integrations
- Entity resolution and deduplication across heterogeneous data sources
- Working knowledge of AI/LLM tooling (Claude Code, Copilot, or equivalent)
- Ability to take full ownership of your scope and drive it independently
- Systematic identification of gaps in pipeline coverage
- Thorough documentation practices for data systems
- Strong emphasis on data quality
