Job Description
Hospitalist providing direct patient care and managing hospitalized patients for INTEGRIS Health. Evaluating patients, documenting in EMR, coordinating referrals, and arranging coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly evaluate and manage each patient appropriately
- Document patient information completely using EMR, written notes and/or dictation in a timely manner
- Record histories and findings with clarity and precision
- Demonstrate diagnostic, test-result interpretation, and procedural skills
- Identify relevant medical issues accurately and use appropriate procedures and testing
- Prepare and sign medical-record-related reports in a timely manner
- Make appropriate referrals to services and other providers
- Arrange appropriate patient coverage twenty-four hours per day
- Maintain admitting privileges at local hospitals and provide follow-up care where privileges permit
- Report to the assigned Medical Director
- Care for patients during their hospital stay
- Interact appropriately and promptly with support staff
- Follow universal safety precautions in an environment involving potential exposure to infections, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals, lifting hazards, and workplace violence
Requirements:
- Oklahoma MD or DO licensure
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
