Job Description
HPE project manager leading complex HPC and AI hardware, software, and fabric deployments. Managing customer delivery, project finances, risks, and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer project and solution delivery
- Work directly with customers and multiple teams
- Manage complex deployments across one or multiple American regions
- Manage high-risk deployment schedules
- Manage complex legal and commercial issues
- Manage project financials, including project P&L
- Manage client relationships and upper-level client delivery relationships
- Represent the organization to external customers and clients
- Manage internal project teams across multiple HPE organizations
- Manage internal and external resources with a team size under 40 people
- Mentor project team members and encourage skill development
- Provide performance review input and development recommendations
- Comprehend, manage, and direct technical deployment work within a team environment
- Communicate program plans, proposals, and results
- Negotiate options at senior management levels
- Travel extensively every 2 or 3 weeks per month to customer sites or HPE office locations
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship required
- Extensive travel required every 2 or 3 weeks
- Remote position, based in Virginia preferred
- Extensive experience using project and program planning tools and software packages
- Technical project management experience, including directing deployment work in team environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Successful experience managing all aspects of programs
- Experience communicating with stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Mastery in English and local language
- Ability to communicate program plans, proposals, and results
- Ability to negotiate options at senior management levels
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 7 years of experience in technical project management
- PMP certification is a plus
- In-depth understanding of company services operational policies, processes, and methodologies applicable to project management
