Job Description
HR Specialist supporting global employee relations, policies, immigration, and employee lifecycle operations at Dotmatics, a cloud-based scientific research software company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, communicate, and maintain zone-specific P&O policies
- Support employee questions on policy interpretation and guidance
- Oversee immigration topics, update local policies, ensure immigration-law compliance, and support visa applications
- Act as a point of escalation for employee queries and Jira tickets
- Triage Jira tickets and the HR mailbox
- Advise and coach managers on employee management, underperformance, performance development, learning and development strategies, and role stretch opportunities
- Support onboarding and offboarding
- Support and manage employee-relations cases, including restructuring and reorganisation
- Administer the employee lifecycle, including salary letters, employee-relations communications, Workday administration, and employee-data accuracy
- Partner with P&O Business Partners on entity-specific projects such as gender pay gap reporting, system implementation, payroll and benefits support, company cars, corporate credit cards, and audits
- Build strong business relationships with internal clients, managers, employees, and the P&O team
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in Employee Relations as a P&O Generalist, Junior Business Partner, or Employee Relations Specialist
- Degree may be held; not stated as required
- Experience partnering with managers and P&O Business Partners on performance and employee-relations issues
- Working knowledge of Workday or a similar HRIS
- Advanced knowledge of global employment law, particularly in the UK, US, and Ireland
- Strong consultative, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Adaptability, initiative, detail orientation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience building HR reports and collating data
- Strong Excel skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
