Job Description
HR Business Partner guiding growing companies through outsourced PeopleOps services at Escalon. Managing HR strategy, compliance, systems, benefits, payroll, employee relations, and performance programs.
Responsibilities:
- Support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives
- Maintain and enhance clients’ human resources policies, programs, and practices
- Assist companies with all their HR needs, ranging from full-cycle HR to project-based work
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with clients’ business strategies
- Develop and monitor HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures that enhance client company growth
- Ensure clients have strong HR infrastructure and compliance
- Create and write employee handbooks and other company policies
- Handle FLSA classifications and audits and support required employee training
- Prepare clients for mergers and acquisitions due diligence
- Implement and administer HRIS, payroll, 401(k), benefits administration, and performance evaluation systems
- Research, recommend, implement, and administer benefits, including enrollments, terminations, claims resolution, and invoice auditing
- Assist with benefits plan evaluations, selection, open enrollment planning, 401(k), LOA, and COBRA
- Recommend onboarding and offboarding processes and partner with PeopleOps HR Support to ensure completion
- Partner with Payroll and oversee or process payroll for multiple clients
- Draft parental leave policies and deliver employee LOA packets while ensuring legal compliance
- Support employee relations questions, grievances, and other issues
- Design, customize, and implement performance management processes
- Develop programs to enhance morale, productivity, and employee recognition
- Collaborate with managers to resolve issues and prepare corrective action
Requirements:
- Must have 3+ years of human resources/people operations experience
- Experience scaling and supporting venture and/or private equity backed companies preferred
- Must have knowledge of startup HR best practices
- Strong business acumen and a passion for HR
- Must have exceptional knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws
- Ability to exercise autonomy, independent judgment, and decision making
- Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple projects with frequently changing priorities
- Eye for detail
- Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills, high level of professionalism and integrity
- Ability to professionally handle confidential data and information
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated initiative with a sense of urgency
- Knowledge of HRIS, Payroll and Recruiting systems, including Gusto, Zenefits, Namely, Rippling, ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, Intuit, TriNet, Justworks, Sequoia, Greenhouse, and Lever
- Bachelor’s degree and/or PHR certification preferred
- Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions and best practices & processes preferred
