Job Description

HR Generalist supporting employee relations, investigations, onboarding, and compliance. Serving project leadership for GardaWorld Federal Services, a security and federal services provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the HR Manager
  • Serve as HR Business Partner to Project leadership
  • Provide human resources services, including records management, AA/EEO compliance, and personnel transactions
  • Maintain HR records and employee files in accordance with compliance regulations and policies
  • Work closely with payroll and other departments while handling confidential information
  • Coordinate with HR leadership and Operations to troubleshoot and provide coaching and consultation on employee relations and performance management
  • Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending courses of action
  • Assist employees by identifying concerns, clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions, and implementing selected solutions
  • Protect organizational information by maintaining confidentiality
  • Monitor and advise on federal, state, and local legal requirements and legislation
  • Assist with onboarding new employees
  • Conduct voluntary and involuntary exit meetings with Project Leadership
  • Handle assignments and support the Project as needed
  • Monitor day-shift and night-shift employees according to business needs

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel as needed
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources or related field
  • Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends, as business needs require
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information
  • May be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise
  • May be required to remain stationary, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
  • May occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds
