Job Description
Expert ISD Engineer leading AI training and curriculum development for the Veterans Health Administration. Guiding instructional designers and advancing AI literacy among VA healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of AI-focused training and curriculum for the Veterans Health Administration
- Serve as the senior instructional systems design authority for the VHA AI Education Hub program
- Guide a team of Instructional Designers in building scalable, evidence-based learning solutions
- Equip VA healthcare professionals to understand, adopt, and apply artificial intelligence tools in clinical and administrative settings
- Mentor junior designers
- Advise senior stakeholders
- Refine curriculum standards supporting AI literacy across the VA enterprise
Requirements:
- Senior-level instructional systems design expertise
- Ability to lead and mentor Instructional Designers
- Ability to design evidence-based, scalable learning solutions
- Ability to translate emerging AI technology concepts into accessible learning experiences
- Experience operating in complex, fast-moving federal healthcare environments
- Ability to advise senior stakeholders and refine curriculum standards
- Passion for advancing AI literacy across the VA enterprise
