Job Description
L&D Specialist designing and improving learning programs for Laminar Projects, a consultancy digitising complex construction delivery. Managing Thrive LMS, applying AI, and facilitating development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Own learning and development projects end to end
- Partner with stakeholders to understand learning needs and shape appropriate solutions
- Design, pilot, test and continuously improve engaging learning experiences
- Maintain and support the Thrive learning management system
- Manage learning content and support LMS users
- Monitor learning data and report on performance and improvement opportunities
- Use AI to design, develop and deliver learning efficiently while maintaining quality
- Facilitate learning sessions, including the Laminar Way series
- Contribute to a broad range of L&D initiatives across the business
- Report directly to the L&D Lead
Requirements:
- 2–4 years’ experience in L&D, training design, facilitation, coaching, people development or consultancy
- Understanding of effective learning, from identifying needs through designing applicable learning experiences
- Curiosity about learning technology
- Excitement about using AI to design and deliver learning effectively
- Critical judgment to determine when AI adds value
- Strong relationship-building and questioning skills
- Clear communication, active listening and ability to adapt to the audience
- Ability to take initiative and work through ambiguity
- Ability to make decisions within remit and know when to escalate
- Experience taking ownership of projects and improving processes
- Genuine interest in growth
- Degree in Behavioural Science, Organisational Psychology, Educational Psychology, L&D or a related field is a bonus, not a requirement
- Experience with Thrive or Rise 360 is not required
