Job Description

California labor and employment attorney supporting litigation, administrative matters, and employment-document drafting. Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients at an established California law firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and trial preparation materials
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on a variety of labor and employment law issues
  • Support senior attorneys in fact investigations, witness interviews, and development of case strategy
  • Prepare responses to administrative charges and complaints before agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH/CRD, and DLSE
  • Draft and review employment-related documents, including workplace policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements
  • Participate in client meetings and calls, providing updates and supporting ongoing client communications
  • Monitor changes in labor and employment laws and draft client alerts or updates under supervision
  • Collaborate closely with partners and associates in a team-oriented environment, with opportunities for training and mentorship

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Member in good standing with the California Bar
  • 2–4 years of attorney experience in CA Labor & Employment Law
  • Strong preference for Wage and Hour and FEHA, but open to all Employment Law Experience
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • 1900 billable hours
  • Must reside and be admitted to practice in California
