Job Description
Lead Engineer for full-stack development at Stitch Fix, focused on enhancing client engagement through innovative solutions. Collaborate with diverse teams using modern software engineering practices.
Responsibilities:
- engage member of the engineering team, leading meetings and contributing to design documents
- lead execution of complex projects within the Discovery team or across multiple teams
- build features that help clients discover and engage with Stitch Fix
- work on visibility problems impacting retention and engagement for clients
- break down projects into actionable milestones
- communicate status updates to teammates and leadership
- provide technical leadership through mentorship and code reviews
- invest in professional development of teammates
- use data to frame business problems
- influence engineers toward right-sized solutions
Requirements:
- at least five years of professional software development experience
- at least a year in a technical leadership role
- solving problems with front-end technologies—TypeScript, Next.js, React, CSS/Sass
- back-end frameworks, preferably Ruby on Rails
- experience with GraphQL and Apollo, both consuming APIs and designing schemas
- set clear priorities and communicate them openly
- enjoy mentoring other engineers
- enjoy leading technical planning and design
- collaborate with product and design partners
