Job Description
Legal Operations Manager supporting Textile Exchange's Legal team with compliance, efficiency, and legal document management. Focused on enhancing legal operations and leveraging technology for improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide essential support to Textile Exchange Legal Counsel
- Legal compliance and tracking, managing state and charitable registrations, and helping identify compliance risks
- Identify opportunities for improvement and greater efficiency
- Ensure the Legal team leverages technology and innovation
- Promote continuous improvement and training
- Develop an effective know-how system to capture and propagate knowledge
- Document preparation, review, tracking deadlines, and maintaining digital records
- Support CLM data governance to ensure data consistency, compliance, and accuracy across systems
- Monitor and maintain data integrity and resolve quality issues
- Maintain contract and other legal templates
- Track contracts through the contract lifecycle
- Conduct legal research and assist with managing legal matters
- Submit invoices and assist with tracking legal expenses
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience
- Bachelor’s degree combined with experience in legal operations, legal technology, and project management
- Advanced degrees in law or MBA an added bonus
- Experience with data governance and data management
- Significant experience with contract management and working with Contract Lifecyle Management (CLM) software
- Experience with signing software, e.g., Adobe Sign, DocuSign
- Proven success in project coordination
- A strong attention to detail and solid organization skills
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives
