Job Description
Liability Trial Attorney representing the commercial insureds of a reputable insurance carrier in Maryland. Preparing and trying personal injury cases with responsibilities across all aspects of insurance defense.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the commercial insureds of a prestigious and financially stable commercial insurance carrier
- Prepare and try moderate to high complexity General Liability and Commercial Auto personal injury cases
- Perform duties encompassing all aspects of insurance defense
- Conduct initial investigation and legal analysis and advice
- Prepare and file legal pleadings and documents
- Conduct pre-trial discovery and hearings
- Handle trials and post-trial activities
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor
- 5 or more years of experience in the Insurance Litigation area
- Active member in good standing with the Maryland and District of Columbia Bar Associations
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Experience working with Lexis or Westlaw
- Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance defense litigation legal environment
- Knowledge of the law and procedure
