Job Description

Virtual licensed therapist delivering trauma-informed Medicaid therapy to foster-impacted youth and families. Conducting assessments, care planning, caregiver support, and crisis-responsive care remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide virtual one-on-one therapy to youth and caregivers using evidence-informed, trauma-focused modalities
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop collaborative, measurement-based care plans
  • Build relational continuity across placement or life transitions
  • Collaborate with non-clinical Care Advocates to connect clients with needed services and supports
  • Provide caregiver support sessions to improve family stability and outcomes
  • Maintain timely clinical documentation aligned with Medicaid and telehealth standards
  • Attend weekly supervision, team meetings, and required trainings
  • Support clients during escalation or crisis using trauma-informed care practices
  • Participate in peer consultation and cross-functional collaboration with clinicians and care team members

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted independent North Carolina license as an LCSW, LCMHC, or LPC; LCSW strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of post-independent licensure experience
  • Direct experience with child welfare and foster care systems, pediatric mental health, and complex trauma
  • Comfortable working with youth ages 5–26
  • Experience with telehealth platforms
  • Knowledge of Medicaid clinical documentation standards
  • Experience with or strong interest in foster care, adoption, family preservation, or juvenile justice systems
  • Ability to build trust and consistency with youth navigating instability or mistrust
  • Ability to complete background checks required by Medicaid and child welfare systems
  • Approval to provide Medicaid-covered services or prior Medicaid billing experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred; additional languages a plus
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses within the company’s service areas
  • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week, including 15 hours after 4:00 PM Monday–Friday or Saturdays 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Access to a private, quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet
