Job Description

National Account Director growing PRX’s podcast and broadcast advertising revenue. Developing campaigns, winning national accounts, and expanding advertiser and agency relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop business for large-scale national podcast and broadcast campaigns
  • Sell campaigns to direct marketers and digital advertising agencies
  • Achieve budgeted revenue growth and establish meaningful client relationships and accounts
  • Sell to new accounts and service established clients
  • Educate prospects on advertising benefits within the PRX/Radiotopia Portfolio
  • Understand digital, audio, programmatic, advertising, and marketing tactics
  • Develop unique campaigns focused on solving client needs
  • Direct campaign activation and creative production processes
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to advertisers and agency clients
  • Prepare key data points for client meetings and media and strategic recommendations
  • Field client questions throughout the sales cycle
  • Partner with Client Success Manager, Sales Operations, and cross-functional teams to manage campaign performance
  • Identify and close incremental revenue opportunities and ensure client success
  • Review findings and recommendations to drive repeat business, renewals, and new business
  • Prospect for new business through presentations, conference calls, and web meetings
  • Cultivate existing relationships and generate new business
  • Track and document sales activity in CRM software
  • Evaluate client needs and develop broadcast and podcast portfolio solutions
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities and maintain competitive insight
  • Build comprehensive recommendations and proposals
  • Communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit sales and financial reports
  • Prepare sales projections, weekly reports, strategies, plans, and goals
  • Develop and process account correspondence and paperwork
  • Monitor market conditions, industry information, pricing trends, and media sales
  • Perform collections activities
  • Travel as needed for client meetings and industry events

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business
  • Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in digital media, implementation planning and/or buying
  • Strong industry knowledge and desire to grow within the industry
  • Ability to translate client requests into recommendations meeting business objectives
  • Ability to craft impactful sales rationale stories using data and research
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline- and detail-oriented environment
  • Highly organized, focused multitasker with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently within a team-focused organization
  • Excellent dexterity in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with CRM systems, programmatic platforms, ad servers, and other digital media ad tech
  • Prospecting and new business development experience
  • Relationship management and CRM documentation experience
  • Ability to evaluate client needs and develop broadcast and podcast portfolio solutions
  • Ability to build comprehensive recommendations and proposals
  • Exceptional selling, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with senior leadership and sales support teams
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events
  • Strong writing skills and ability to overcome objections
  • Proven success selling digital media, ideally digital audio/podcasts
  • Knowledge of planning, forecasting, and account strategy
  • Understanding of advertising agency departments, digital media, and marketing
  • Ability to establish objectives and goals and be accountable for results
  • Ability to achieve or exceed multiple sales goals and productivity targets
  • Excellent leadership abilities, professional demeanor, flexibility, creativity, and attention to detail
