Job Description
Pharmacy Relations Manager improving oncology infusion capacity and pharmacy workflows across Ontario and Quebec. Building hospital partnerships for AstraZeneca, a global prescription-medicine pharmaceutical company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute provincial hospital pharmacy strategies aligned with national Marketing strategy
- Build long-term relationships with hospital and provincial pharmacy leadership and centre-level pharmacists
- Identify emerging oncology pharmacy trends, operational challenges, and policy changes
- Co-create solutions improving infusion capacity, patient pathways, chemo suite efficiency, and pharmacy workflows
- Collaborate with provincial/national pharmacy bodies, associations, cancer agencies, and healthcare organizations
- Partner with Sales, Medical, Access, Diagnostics, and Health Systems colleagues on customer-centric account management and unified strategy
- Serve as a pharmacy subject matter expert for internal cross-functional teams
- Gather insights on pharmacy priorities, operational barriers, treatment landscape, competitive dynamics, and pricing constraints
- Deliver the Pharmacy Strategic and Tactical Plan
- Integrate plans into Brand Strategies and access planning cycles
- Provide execution guidance and alignment to drive measurable outcomes for centres and patients
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (preferred), Life Sciences, Nursing or related healthcare disciplines
- Strong understanding of the Canadian oncology healthcare environment with deep knowledge of ON and QC
- 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare system, hospitals and/or pharmaceutical industry, in oncology
- Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives
- Self-starter and team player with superior people and motivational skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Strategic thinking ability
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and judgment skills
- Valid driver’s license required; must provide a valid driver abstract
- Fully bilingual in French and English mandatory
- Desirable: 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales in oncology and/or deep expertise in an oncology treatment center, working closely with pharmacy teams and decision makers
- Desirable: Experience in training, marketing and/or external affairs management
