Job Description
Principal Investigator overseeing Sidekick’s fully virtual Canadian clinical study of a balance-training device. Ensuring ethics, participant safety, REB compliance, and research-assistant supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Principal Investigator for a fully virtual clinical study of a balance-training device for people recovering from ankle sprains
- Ensure the scientific and ethical conduct of the study
- Sign off on the protocol and REB submission
- Oversee participant safety and adverse event reporting
- Answer REB questions throughout the study
- Train research assistants on functional assessments
- Oversee research assistants' work with participants
- Contribute authorship to the resulting publication
Requirements:
- Licensed and in good standing as a physiotherapist or physician in Canada
- Prior experience as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on an REB-approved human-subject study
- Clinical or research background in musculoskeletal rehabilitation
- Foot and ankle experience is a strong asset
- Current GCP certification, or willingness to complete it before REB submission
- Available 5 to 15 hours per week from October through study close
- Reachable within one business day for safety and REB matters
