Job Description
Prescription Verification Specialist verifying contact lens prescriptions for 1-800 Contacts, a vision-care company. Processing high-volume customer images and handling prescription-related communications remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Verify contact lens prescriptions by processing inbound images from customers and eye care providers
- Process an average of 125 items per hour (approximately 875 items in an 8-hour shift)
- Follow standardized processes to achieve the best customer experience and remain compliant
- Respond to emails and text messages from customers regarding their prescriptions
- Advise customers regarding any order adjustments
- Interact directly with customers through email, text messages and sometimes via the phone
- Abide by 1-800 Contacts policies and procedures

- Perform other duties as assigned by managers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Great typing skills (at least 40 words per minute)
- Technical proficiency
- Reliable internet connection and speeds of 20 mbps download and 10 mbps upload, or better
- A private, dedicated workplace, free from interruption or distraction that promotes confidentiality
- High adaptability and change agility
- Solution-oriented, positive, and driven mindset
- Self-motivated and competitive with excellent memorization skills
- Reliable attendance and commitment to working scheduled shifts
- Training and working remotely from approved locations: North Carolina, Texas and Utah
- A weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) is mandatory each week
