Job Description
Pricing and rebates analyst managing Japan-market discounts for Brown-Forman, a premium spirits company. Processing rebates, accruals, invoices, SAP pricing, and financial reporting remotely from India.
Responsibilities:
- Manage high-volume customer rebates and promotional invoices, validating invoices against the accruals tracker and processing them timely
- Set up and change rebates in SAP accurately and promptly to prevent queries
- Provide meaningful reports to the local business team
- Establish and maintain relationships with Sales and Finance teams
- Analyze and negotiate resolutions for customer rebate audit queries
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end business targets
- Track customer rebate programs
- Calculate and ensure appropriate monthly accruals in SAP S/4HANA ERP
- Set up customer prices in SAP after review by the Pricing and Rebates Manager
- Collaborate with Finance in pre-month-end Strip Net Sales review meetings to ensure accrual numbers are correctly reflected and calculated
- Manage discount-recognition data flow, including monitoring volume and claim files
- Support development of reporting tools for discount recognition and analysis
- Receive and verify discount invoices
Requirements:
- Fluent in Japanese and English, spoken and written
- 3–5 years of work experience
- Relevant experience in a Rebates position is desirable but not required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of SAP desired but not essential
- Collaborative team player with conflict management skills
- Adaptable, flexible, and resilient
- IT literate, including MS Office and Google applications
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with other people
- Positive and “can do” attitude
