Job Description

Principal Project Manager translating executive priorities into measurable transformation programmes at Pearson, a global learning company. Driving governance, change adoption, integrations, and AI tooling across geographies.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the enterprise transformation roadmap, converting competing and ambiguous leadership priorities into 30-, 60-, and 100-day plans with named owners, milestones, dependencies, and explicit tradeoffs
  • Establish governance with defined business problems, measured baselines, accountable owners, required decisions, risk escalation paths, and transitions into business-as-usual
  • Define business value and report delivery against cost savings, protected revenue, created capacity, delivery speed, service quality, adoption, and risk reduction
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and recovery planning for programmes that are stuck, at risk, or not producing intended outcomes
  • Prepare options, tradeoffs, and recommendations for executive audiences and facilitate working sessions that turn decisions into committed action
  • Lead modernisation of operating models, ways of working, and tooling across geographies, including communications and enablement
  • Support integrations and organisational change through Day 1/30/100, including governance, process alignment, SOPs, reporting, and handover
  • Drive adoption of internal AI governance tooling and measure usage, compliance, time saved, exception rates, and practitioner feedback

Requirements:

  • Significant experience leading enterprise transformation, strategic operations, or change management programmes in a large, multi-geography organisation
  • Proven track record turning nebulous executive priorities into sequenced delivery plans with measurable business outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience establishing governance for cross-functional portfolios and transitioning initiatives into steady-state operations
  • Experience supporting post-merger integration or comparable Day 1/30/100 organisational change
  • Strong background in business strategy, process improvement, and stakeholder alignment at executive level
  • Exposure to AI-enabled ways of working and their governance is an advantage
