Job Description
Principal AI Solutions Consultant shaping enterprise AI architectures and strategic sales pursuits. Positioning Workiva’s governed platform for trusted finance, risk, and sustainability reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the AI technical agenda across sales pursuits as the senior technical voice from engagement through deal closure
- Develop reusable intellectual property, including patterns, talk tracks, and design guidance
- Mentor Solution Consultants and elevate AI fluency across the organization
- Lead technical discovery and alignment across Finance, GRC, Sustainability, IT, and Security teams
- Map customer AI programs and identify where Workiva’s governed core fits
- Ensure safe and compliant integration
- Prepare high-impact technical demonstrations
- Produce customer AI reference architectures showing API-first platform integration into customer ecosystems
- Share field insights with product, engineering, and leadership teams to influence the AI roadmap
- Engage customers and partners as a public technical voice through industry events, thought leadership, and executive briefings
Requirements:
- 10+ years of technical, customer-facing experience in presales solution consulting, solution architecture, or technical consulting
- Minimum of 3 years focused specifically on enterprise AI architecture
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
- Hands-on expertise in modern AI, including RAG, agentic systems, MCP, and model selection/evaluation
- Enterprise data architecture expertise
- Ability to write clean code for API interaction
- Ability to perform technical testing for groundedness and quality
- Understanding of AI governance, including NIST, ISO 42001, and EU AI Act
- Understanding of security risks including prompt injection and exfiltration
- Experience establishing audit-readiness over machine-generated outputs in regulated environments
- Knowledge of corporate reporting across Finance, GRC, Sustainability, and the office of the CFO
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, and Snowflake
- Proven success articulating architectural visions to C-level executives
- Ability to represent the company publicly through thought leadership and industry events
- Relevant AWS, Azure, or AI certifications are preferred
