Job Description
Product Design Engineer taking autism-care software features from user problem to production. Designing in Figma and building polished React interfaces for Tellos.
Responsibilities:
- Understand user problems by talking with users, observing workflows, and separating real problems from requested solutions
- Decide what to build by defining the simplest useful solution and prioritizing what can wait
- Design clear, thoughtful interfaces and prototypes in Figma
- Turn designs into polished, production-ready React interfaces
- Observe product usage and iterate based on real user behavior
- Improve existing workflows, components, interactions, and design consistency
- Collaborate with the team and users
- Take a product or feature from problem to production and explain the research, decisions, design, and implementation personally
- Build software supporting autism care workflows, including family intake, therapist recruiting, scheduling, documentation, billing, and practice management
Requirements:
- Strong product judgment and comfort working through ambiguous problems
- Excellent UX and visual design skills
- Strong frontend engineering experience with React, TypeScript, and modern CSS
- Ability to move naturally between Figma and production code
- High standards for typography, spacing, responsiveness, states, and interaction details
- Experience using AI tools to prototype and ship faster without sacrificing judgment
- Clear communication and comfort collaborating with a remote U.S.-based team
- Bias toward ownership, speed, and finishing what you start
