Job Description
Professional Services Project Manager delivering cybersecurity projects for Fortinet, which secures enterprise, service provider, and government organizations. Managing schedules, budgets, teams, customer relationships, and project processes.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute project work plans, revising them as needed
- Develop statements of work, work breakdown structures, and project schedules
- Identify required resources and assign responsibilities while monitoring team availability
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and day-to-day operations
- Apply Fortinet’s methodology and enforce project standards
- Minimize project exposure and risk
- Maintain complete, current, and appropriately stored project documentation
- Coordinate with sales, operations, order management, support, and other customer-facing functions
- Determine revenue recognition, ensure accurate invoicing, and monitor project receivables
- Forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates, and utilization
- Ensure project legal documents are completed and signed
- Facilitate Professional Services, Presales, Sales Engineering, and client meetings
- Communicate relevant project information to executive management
- Resolve or escalate issues promptly
- Identify process improvements and recommend changes to methods, processes, and tools
- Monitor operational and customer satisfaction metrics
- Handle project escalations and follow up on customer satisfaction surveys
- Build and maintain relationships with sales teams, customers, partners, and corporate organizations
- Recruit, hire, and retain professional services engineers
- Support a working atmosphere that enables team members’ personal and professional development
- Define, document, enforce, and enhance processes for faster Professional Services engagement requests
- Collaborate with regional peers on initiatives improving service to customers, partners, and the security community
- Establish and enforce processes that improve efficiency and productivity
- Align strategies to proactively avoid issues in pre-sales processes
- Continuously follow up to ensure processes are properly maintained
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Outstanding oral communication and presentation skills
- Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project
- Experience as a Program Manager is a plus
- Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Ability to think creatively to develop new solutions to problems
- Ability to create a vision, establish a plan, and ensure plan execution through success
- Ability to coach others
- Experience in a Professional Services role in a networking/security company or equivalent education
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Full knowledge of all relevant business policies and practices
- Strong ability to energize and lead others
- Previous experience leading teams is a must
- Multilingual skills are a plus: oral and/or written Spanish and/or Portuguese
- Good technical knowledge of computer networks and Internet security
- Excellent organizational skills
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work and make quick decisions under pressure
- Willingness to travel around 20% of the time
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
