Job Description
Project Assistant supporting Terracon’s geotechnical project delivery, document control, tracking, and client communications. Assisting with proposals, invoicing, engineering documentation, and Compass project processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist project/program manager with resource management and resource assignment.
- Collect and enter project details including timelines, budgets, schedules, proposals, contracts, and deliverable dates.
- Assist with drafting report and proposal deliverables.
- Support fee estimates, change orders, project registration, invoicing, Work in Progress, and Accounts Receivable activities.
- Perform data entry and update TerraNet, CRM, spreadsheets, and other documentation systems.
- Provide project document control and administrative support.
- Update and maintain project/program tracking details.
- Provide project status and client deliverable updates to team leaders.
- Assist with program manuals, client communication plans, milestone tracking, proposals, contracts, and requests for information.
- Prepare written report sections, drawings, attachments, boring and test pit logs, and related engineering support materials.
- Assist with utility locating services, clearances, drilling coordination, and field classification of soil and rock samples.
- Schedule and communicate with clients regarding report status and delivery schedules.
- Maintain and update project-level Compass and provide training and coaching on its use.
- Follow safety rules and standards, participate in pre-task planning, and maintain project quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Experience with gINT Geotechnical software and AutoCAD LT preferred (if applicable)
- Fluent in Microsoft Office applications.
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
