Job Description
Project Specialist in Planning and Scheduling drive improvements in project controls at GE Gas Power. Focused on managing project schedules while providing leadership for complex EPC projects.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the continuous improvement of Project Controls, Planning & Scheduling processes
- Provides scheduling leadership for complex Equipment Only and Engineering, Equipment & Procurement projects
- Develop and maintain integrated L2/L3 project schedules for a medium portfolio of projects
- Understand and confirm Inquiry-to-Order assumptions and the risk summary
- Attend the Customer Kickoff Meeting and follow-up on all open action items related to schedule execution
- Develop Commitment Meeting file based on functional inputs
- Lead the Commitment Meeting to resolve initial schedule disconnects
- Ensure schedules accurately reflect project scope and execution strategy
- Monitor project on time delivery performance
- Update project schedule based on inputs from the team
- Perform regular schedule analysis and identify mitigations for impacts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- 3 years experience in Project Control Planning & Scheduling function within an EPC environment with Oracle Primavera P6 or equivalent project, program and portfolio management tools
- Experience in Extension of time claims / forensic planning
- Knowledge in of power plant principles and work processes of EPC environments
- Site Scheduling exposure
- Resources loading in P6 schedules
- Open for travel up to 10%
