Job Description
Project Manager leading medical communications programs for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device clients. Managing multidisciplinary teams, budgets, suppliers, timelines, and client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of medical communications projects from inception to completion, including content development, advisory boards, and speaker training
- Facilitate multidisciplinary project teams and interface with each company department
- Meet client and management expectations and maintain strong client and faculty relationships
- Ensure programs remain on target and within agreed-upon parameters
- Develop, maintain, monitor, and reconcile project budgets
- Manage external suppliers and resources
- Keep programs on time and focused on primary objectives
- Provide ongoing updates to internal team members and client contacts
- Build and maintain knowledge of client organizations, products, disease states, and medical education
- Contribute to new business development activities within the account team
- Schedule and conduct start-up, interim, and final team meetings
- Establish and maintain time and event schedules
- Oversee faculty recruitment, audience generation, content development, logistics, registration and participant communication, materials production, supplier performance, and central file management
- Assist in training new account team members
- Maintain company policies and adhere to Lockwood Group policies and standard operating procedures
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree is required
- Three to five years of relevant project management experience in a healthcare communications environment is required
- Ability to grasp and retain scientific information
- Strong technical aptitude
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
- Ability to work remotely from the United States, except Colorado, New York City, and San Francisco County, California
